Quicken 2007 continues to do everything I need, Intuit continues to sell it for $15 on their chat support site and continues to upgrade it, most recently for El Capitan. Quicken 2007 for Mac has been continuously upgraded for OS X compatibility, including Yosemite. adamengst writes 'If your bank uses the Extended Validation certificates that require a higher level of identity checking on the certificate authority's part (as at least one Seattle bank does), you may not be able to download transactions using the Mac version of Quicken.

For me, I do not see any reason to put up with the limitations and deficiencies of the so-called "upgrade" of Quicken 2016 for Mac. I believe this is true of Quicken Mac 2007 as well as the current Quicken Mac products. They have never updated Quicken Windows to fully import Quicken Mac data. Getting on line with Quicken Help is a joke. The key thing to know is that investment data will not be imported going from Mac to Windows. When I attempted to convert, the 2016 only picked up about a year's worth of transactions. I've been running the 2007 Upgrade and it works great. I just purchased the new 2016 Quicken for Mac.
